With heavy hearts, we share that Ana Delia Sanchez passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025 after a lengthy battle with complications from Alzheimer's. Mom was born on January 10, 1948 to Saturnino and Nicoloas Mercado along with 8 other siblings in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Mom spent her youth on the beautiful island until she met our father, Trinidad Frank Sanchez at a local dance in the Spring of 1967, married on June 10. 1967, at which time, a love to last throughout both of their lives would continue until our father passed away in 2020. During their journey, they traveled to several different countries and lived about a half dozen States in the United States. Finally settling down in Emerado, North Dakota in 1977. Being a homebody was perfectly normal for her, but she did get to know all the neighbors around her and was always willing to lend a hand or share advice from her own experiences. She loved cooking and she shared her Puerto Rican recipes with others willfully. Mom was a great cook!

During her marriage to Trinidad (our father), Christopher and Lissett were born and raised together, mostly in the small town of Emerado, right next to the Grand Forks, Air Force base. Mom worked at several jobs throughout her life, cleaning, cooking and finally working on the Grand Forks Air Force Base as a cafeteria employee at the military bowling Recreation center. In the mid 1980's, she stopped working outside of the home and dedicated herself to being a great homemaker.

Mom loved to dance, sing country and Spanish songs, take care of her plants and even had an extensive doll collection, made up of many classic dolls and toys, including Barbies and Barbie memorabilia from the 1960's to the early 2010's. Taking family pictures and putting them up was not just a hobby for her, but something special. In the mid 2010's, she decided to get a couple of computers and began to explore the online computing world by getting on Facebook and even playing video games. She also loved to go to garage sales with our father, looking for the best deals when it came to household needs, or just spoiling others.

Mom was a kind, loving and devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother and loved being with family whenever the opportunity presented itself, taking it upon herself to be the Master Chef, no matter what the meal entailed.

Christopher and Lissett would like to thank Valley Senior Living on 42nd-Woodside Village and Hospice for their kind and compassionate care as Mom struggled in her battles with Alzheimer till the very end. We would also like to thank Erin Meyer, Ginny Jenson and Diane Curtiss for helping care for our Mom years ago, before her journey took her into full-time care later.

She is survived by her two children, Christopher (Rachel S) and Lissett (Wayne H), her brother Victor M, Grandchildren, Zach McClaflin, Sophie Thompson (Scott), Aidan Meyer, Christian Sanchez (Elizabeth), Brandon Johnson, Peyton Sanchez;  great-grandchildren, Kaladin, Cassian and one due early next year.

Mom was preceded in death by both her parents, husband (Trinidad), seven siblings and a grandson (Jordan H).
