Anthony "Tony" Krenzel, 77, of Horace, ND and formerly of Grand Forks, ND passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 in Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Anthony Krenzel was born on September 23, 1943 in Harvey, ND the son of Otto and Catherine (Schneider) Krenzel.  Tony was raised in Orrin, ND and graduated from Anamoose High School in Anamoose, ND.  Tony entered the United States Army on June 17,1965 at Rugby, ND and served with the 8 ^th Army in the Republic of Korea.  He was honorably discharged from active military service on March 20, 1967 at Fort Lewis Washington.  Anthony married Debra Martin on June 16, 1978 at St. Michael's Catholic church in Grand Forks.   While living in Grand Forks, Tony was employed with Western Potato Company, International Corporation and retired from JR Simplot.  He was a former longtime member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and presently a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Wild Rice, ND, the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 2 and the American Legion Post 6.  He loved gardening and enjoyed ice fishing and deer hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Deb; his children, Anthony "T.J." Krenzel and Catherine "Cathy" (Rik) Rodriguez; brothers, Joe (Sharon) Krenzel, Rudy (Regina) Krenzel and Leo Krenzel; a sister, Agnes Krenzel; grandchildren, Peyton Krenzel, Rafe Krenzel, Maya Morgan, J.J. Adams, Amaya Adams Martin Adams, Kenzi Rodriguez and Kayla Rodriguez; sisters-in-law, Karen (Mrs. Pius) Krenzel, JoAnn (John) Naastad, LuAnn (Patrick) Beem; mother-in-law, Kay Martin and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Billy Krenzel; brothers, Otto, Pius, Romanus and Hugo and his father-in-law, William Martin.

Mass of Christian Burial: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2021 in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2021 with a 6:40 p.m. rosary service and 7:00 p.m. vigil service in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the Liturgy in the church on Tuesday.
Burial: Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
Military Honors: Accorded by members of the American Legion Post 6, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 2, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1874 and the North Dakota Army National Guard.
