Bart Calvin Gerszewski , age 63 of Grand Forks, ND, died on Sunday February 18, 2024 at Valley Eldercare on Columbia in Grand Forks, ND.

Bart Calvin Gerszewski, a son of Herman and Virginia (Hartje) Gerszewski, was born on March 22, 1960 at Grand Forks, ND. He was reared and attended school in Grand Forks, graduating from Grand Forks Central in 1978. After graduation he worked several jobs in the area, and then began his career working for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. Bart traveled through the upper mid-west working track maintenance. On December 3, 1993 he married Linda Logan in East Grand Forks, MN. Bart retired from BNSF in 2020 after 42 years of service.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and bicycling. Bart loved to spend time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Nick Gerszewski; daughters, Sara Gerszewski and Laura Chaussee; granddaughter Emma Chaussee; brothers, Vince Gerszewski, Dan Gerszewski, John (Mary) Gerszewski, and Brad (Sandy) Gerszewski; sisters, Teresa Gerszewski, Fay Desmarais and Julie (John) Lacrosse; brothers-in-law, Gene Hemminger and John Logan; many nieces and nephews.

Bart was Preceded in death by his parents, a son, David Larsen; and a sister, Gelene Hemminger.

Memorial Mass: Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Grand Forks, ND

Visitation: Tuesday, February 20, 2024 beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. in the Norman Funeral Home and Wednesday one hour prior to the Memorial Mass in the church.
