Bertha Ann McDaniel , 86, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Good Samaritan Senior Living in Larimore, ND.

Bertha Ann Durward was born June 2, 1937, in Kenmare, ND, the daughter of Harold and Grace (White) Durward.  Bertha was a student at the North Dakota School for the deaf in Devils Lake, ND, where she met her husband, Duane McDaniel. They were married on September 10, 1955, and were married for 56 years.   Duane preceded her in death July 14, 2012.

Bertha is survived by her children, Mary (Oliver) Hennen, Cindy  Dahl, Terry (Rhonda) McDaniel, and Vicky (Raymi) Hendrickson; her grandchildren, Oliver (Santia), Julie, Tyler (Tori), Carly (Aeryk), Dylan (Laura), Austin (Emily), Kaitlyn, Michelle (Sam) and 16 great-children plus, one due in May.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters, Louise and Beverly, her brother, Larry, son-in law Don Dahl, and her grandson, Brandon.

Family Greeting: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2024, in the Historic Norman Funeral Chapel.
