Brandon Duane Hendrickson, 38, of Grand Forks, ND and formally of Rolla, ND passed away Monday, April 3, 2022, in Grand Forks.

Brandon was born March 31, 1985, in Rolla, ND the son of Raymi and Vicky (McDaniel) Hendrickson.  He grew up in Rolla, ND and graduated from Rolla High School in 2003.

He entered the United States Army on July 1, 2003, at Fargo, ND and served as an M1 Armored Crewman in the Armored Tank Division.  He served two tours of duty in Iraq, one in Kuwait and was stationed in Baumholder, Germany.  He was honorably discharged from active military service, with the rank of Staff Sergeant, on June 30, 2007.

Brandon enjoyed the people and the culture of Germany. While overseas, he had the opportunity to go to Ireland for St. Patrick's Day and continued the tradition of celebrating the holiday when he returned to the United States. He resided in Grand Forks, and was employed with Hood Packaging, Amazon and most recently for the United States Postal Service.

He had a love of winter, the outdoors, Cass Lake, camping on Star Island and enjoyed taking his boat, "Princess Margaery Tyrell" for a swim with his boat fur friends, Lola and Chloe.   He enjoyed traveling with "the kiddies", niece, Brianna and nephews, Houston and Isaiah.  He loved attending UND hockey games, traveling with friends to the frozen four hockey tournament, and loved spending time with his cousins and friends.

We will miss Brandon's sense of adventure and ease of meeting new people everywhere he traveled.

He is survived by his parents, Raymi and Vicky; his sister, Michelle Hendrickson (Sam Gonzalez); a niece, Brianna Hendrickson; nephews, Houston Gonzalez and Isaiah Hendrickson; grandmothers, Connie (Cahill) Hendrickson and Bertha Ann (Durward) McDaniel; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many great friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Duane McDaniel and Ray Hendrickson.
