Bridgett "Birdie" Studney, 100, of Grand Forks ND passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Maple View Memory Care in Grand Forks with family by her side.

Bridgett was born in Pisek, ND to Joseph and Pauline Sobolik.  She attended and graduated from Pisek High School. After graduation, Bridgett moved to Milwaukee, WI where she married Raymond Morgan in 1943 and they had three children.  After the untimely death of Raymond, Bridgett and her children moved back to Pisek.  She reunited with an old high school friend, Charles Studney, got married in 1960, and together had one child.

Bridgett was a vibrant soul who found joy in the rhythm of life. Her love for dancing was evident in every step she took.  A skilled seamstress, she wore garments she meticulously sewed, a testament to her creativity and flair for fashion. Upholstering furniture became another outlet for her artistic expression, transforming worn pieces into works of art. Amidst her passion for dance and crafting, she remained a devoted wife, a loving mother, and an adoring grandmother. Her warmth and kindness extended beyond family, as she embraced her role as a friend to all, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.

Bridgett's family is grateful for the care and love she received from the amazing staff at Maple View Memory Care.

Survivors include sons, Manes Morgan of Park River, ND; Darren (Janelle) Studney of Grand Forks, ND; daughter, Juanita Peterka of Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Danny and Duane Morgan, Kelly Stamps, Brandy Aaker, Stephen Spickenreuther, Ken Elliott, Jason and Tim Peterka, Angela Poitra, Emily and Anna Studney; 31 great-grandchildren; 13 great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Bridgett was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Pauline (Maresh) Sobolik; her first husband, Ray Morgan; second husband, Charles Studney; daughter, Corrine Morgan; brothers, Clarence, Manes, Claude, and Richard Sobolik; sisters, Frances Houska and Dorothy Sobolik; son-in-law, Joe Peterka; grandson, John Spickenreuther and great-grandson Stephen Spickenreuther II.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024, in Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2024, with a 6:45 p.m. Rosary Service and 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Saturday.
Burial: In the spring of 2024, at Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
