Carl D. Wandrie, 86, of Thompson, ND passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026, at his home in Thompson.

Carl Duane Wandrie was born on March 24, 1940, in Ogema, MN, the son of Robert and Doris (Dodd) Wandrie. Carl married Carol Geatz on September 24, 1960, in St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks. They resided in Grand Forks until moving to Thompson. Carl was employed in residential and commercial construction in the East Grand Forks, MN and Grand Forks, ND area.

Carl was a master craftsman and built his own home and garage in Thompson. He enjoyed collecting classic cars and working on cars. His blue Lincoln Continental was his pride and joy. He enjoyed watching western movies, listening to country western music and going to casinos.

He is survived by his wife, Carol "Jeanie", brothers, Roger (Taanjia) Wandrie, Dilworth, MN and Gary Wandrie, Ocala, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Leslie Wandrie; sisters, Donna Mashek, Lucille Bohlin and Gladys Wandrie.

Funeral Liturgy: 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2026, in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: One hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Monday.
Interment: Calvary South Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
