Carol A. Delano, 76, of Grand Forks, ND went home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Valley Senior Living-Woodside Village in Grand Forks.

Carol Ann Fasching was born May 11, 1944 in Beach, ND the daughter of Raymond and Edith (Schmitz) Fasching.  She was raised on the family farm and attended school in Golva, ND.  Carol married William (Liss) Delano in June of 1965.  Carol was not only a housewife but ventured into business and was the owner and operator of the Tasty Freeze in Tioga, ND.   She moved to Williston, ND and became a bridal consultant for several years.  She followed that career by becoming a sales associate for 16 years with J. C. Penney.  She retired in 2014.  Carol always appreciated her clients and customers as well as her colleagues.  She took great pride in dressing smart and always looking professional.

She was very passionate about animals, especially kittens and puppies.  In her retired years, she volunteered for the Circle of Friends Humane Society in Grand Forks.  She loved those critters.  She was devoted to her Catholic faith and was a longtime member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Ladies' Guild.

She is survived by her children, Raymond W. (Liss) Delano and Wendy R. (Liss) Delano, both of Grand Forks, ND, her sisters, Joyce (Jim) Schmidt of Bismarck, ND, Sandra (George) Petermann, Dickinson, ND, as well as four nephews, four great-nephews, and six great-nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill"; her daughter, Cheryl Ann Liss; her parents, Raymond and Edith and her two sisters, Jeanette Fasching and Beverly Fasching.

Mass of Christian Burial: 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2020 in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: One hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Thursday.
Burial: Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
