CAROLEE E. EDINGER

Carolee Edna Quirk Edinger, age 91 of Villa St. Vincent in Crookston, MN, passed away peacefully on Monday July 14, 2025, with her beloved sons by her side.

Carolee was born on March 2, 1934, in Crookston to Leo and Sarah (Thorp) Lippert, she was raised in Robbinsdale, MN where she graduated from high school and proudly served as a Majorette. On August 16, 1952, she married Allen Quirk in Grand Forks. The couple lived in Rolla, ND before settling back in Grand Forks, and were blessed with two sons, Mike and David.

Carolee worked as a bookkeeper for Tempo and Minnesota Dairy, retiring in 1997. Following Allen's passing, she married Calyton Edinger on June 14, 1997, and the two made their home in Grand Forks.

Carolee cherished her time at Island Lake, found joy and comfort in reading her Bible and doing crosswords, and delighted in keeping up with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Family was the pride of her life, and she held a deep love for her many dear friends.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Quirk and David (Lily) Quirk; grandchildren Corey (Michelle) Quirk, Katie (Brandon) Boespflug and Joshua Quirk; six great-grandchildren, Taner Hendrickson, Cole Quirk, Kadon Chayson, Jaxton and Judson Boespflug and two great-great-grandchildren, Elia and Layla Hendrickson.

Carolee was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Allen; her second husband, Clayton; her brothers, Harry, Louie and Ronnie; and her daughter-in-law, Debbie Quirk

A private family service will be held.
