Caroline "Carol" E. Kresel, 83, of Grand Forks, ND passed away peacefully at home with family on Friday, November 29, 2019.

Caroline Ellen Lezon was born on September 13, 1936, in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Stanley and Pearl (Spicer) Lezon. She grew up and attended school in Grand Forks.  Caroline married Albertus Kresel on August 4, 1971. She was employed at various jobs but was remembered most for her 35 years of service in the Child Nutrition Program with the Grand Forks Public School System.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, bird watching and her all bingo friends from Charlie Browns.

She is survived by her son, Clint (Barb) Uhrich and daughter, Mary Ann (Richard) Austin; her siblings, Elton (Gabi) Lezon, Helen (Bob) Jeffers, Lyle Lezon; grandchildren, Jeremy, Amber, Justin, Zandilee, Francis, Kelle; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Logan, Jeran, Jaiyla, Thea, Easton, Anabelle and Lilith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Pearl (Spicer) Lezon; her husband, Al Kresel; her son, Kelle Noreen; her siblings, Lucille Jones, Ginny Frankl, Robert Lezon, Lloyd Lezon and Mary Jane Sannes.

Our special thanks to all the staff at Altru Cancer Center and all hospice caregivers, especially Tara and Cassie, for their words of encouragement and loving care.

Funeral Liturgy: 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2019 in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: One hour prior to the liturgy in the funeral home on Friday.
Interment: Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND, in the spring .
