Catherine D. (Eccles) Clement, 93, of Grand Forks, ND died Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Valley Senior Living on Columbia in Grand Forks.

Catherine was born July 4, 1931, at Grand Forks, ND, to George and Elizabeth (Delaney) Eccles. She attended a one-room schoolhouse in Blooming Township and St. Michael's Grade School and graduated from St. James Academy in Grand Forks in 1949. Following high school, she attended the University of North Dakota, graduating in 1953 with a degree in Home Economics. After graduation, she was hired to develop the first home economics department in the Oklee, MN, high school and went on to teach home economics and art in Oklee and later in Argyle, MN.

While teaching in Oklee, she met her future husband. She married Allen D. Clement June 30, 1958, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks. She continued to teach until they started a family, then made her family her career. She and her husband were charter members of Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Forks, where she was a member of the Altar Society and worked on the annual Christmas Tea, and later members of St. Michael's Catholic Church. She spent many years taking care of her family and supporting her children's school activities. For over 30 years, she and Allen enjoyed weekends at their lake home in Warroad, MN, and spent many winters vacationing in Hawaii.

She is survived by children, Catherine Jane Russell (Crookston, MN), Michael Clement (Grand Forks, ND), and Thomas (Jeanie) Clement (Casa Grande, AZ); grandchildren, Liz (Clint) Frey (Crookston, MN), Michael Clement Jr. (Grand Forks), Sarah (A.J.) Jones (Fargo, ND), Heather (Preston) Every (San Tan Valley, AZ), Sean Clement (Surprise, AZ), and Andrew Clement (Mankato, MN), and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, her parents, and brother and sister-in-law, G. William "Bill" and Veronica "Honey" Eccles.
