Charles Scott Castoreno , 62, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Monday, May 11, 2026 in his home in Grand Forks.

Charles was born on October 29, 1963, the son of Felix and Mary Ann (Bjertness) Castoreno. He attended school beginning in 1967 and went on to work as a construction laborer for many years. He was a devoted fan of the Minnesota Vikings and especially loved University of North Dakota hockey.

Charles found joy in the simple things in life. He loved music, riding his bike, and spending time at family gatherings, where his sense of humor was always on display. He had a playful nature and was known for teasing those around him, always bringing laughter to the moment.

Charles is survived by his sons, Allen Sargeant, Bemidji, MN, and Nathan Castoreno, Grand Forks, ND; brothers, Richard Castoreno, Grand Forks, ND, and Paul Castoreno, East Grand Forks, MN; sisters, Debbie Castoreno, Grand Forks, ND, Vickie Perrault, Arvilla, ND, and Ranee Steffan, Grand Forks, ND.

Charles was proceeded in death by his parents.

He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Celebration of Life: Will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the VFW in East Grand Forks, MN.
