Cheryl L. Suedel , 57, of East Grand Forks, MN, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2019 at her home in East Grand Forks after complications from her lengthy battle with cancer.

Cheryl Lee Clauthier was born on October 13, 1962, in Belcourt, ND the daughter of Joseph and Patricia (LaFromboise) Clauthier. Cheryl met Tom Suedel in 1977 and they began a life together that included 5 children, 9 grandchildren and numerous dogs. Cheryl was a spitfire and had a knack for telling it like it is. Even when diagnosed with cancer, her stubbornness came through as she beat it again and again. She enjoyed playing BINGO (no premature-BINGOers at her table!) and winning radio contests. She liked to travel and was always up for a road trip or concert. The delight of her later years were her grandchildren and her beloved dogs, Lucy, Ricky and Angel, who carefully watched over "mom".

She is survived by her husband, Tom; children, Travis (Kari) Suedel, Brandy Suedel, Cheryl (Beau) Mero, Cody Suedel and Haley Suedel; grandchildren, as well as her sisters; a brother and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Joseph "Buzz" Clauthier; her sister, Marian Anthony and a beloved infant granddaughter, Adalyn.

Funeral Liturgy: 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2019 in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service in the funeral home on Thursday. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the liturgy in the funeral home on Friday.
Interment: In the spring at Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
