Clarence W. Curran, 85, of Grand Forks, ND passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, January 12, 2020 in the Transitional Care Unit of Valley Senior Living in Grand Forks.

Clarence William Curran was born on May 18, 1934 in Grafton, ND the son of William and Mary (Danielski) Curran. Upon the completion of his education, he began farming with his father near Minto, ND. He was employed with Borden Potato Plant in Grafton during the winter months. Clarence enlisted in United States Marine Corps on September 7, 1956 at Minneapolis, MN and served as a heavy truck specialist.  He was honorably discharged from military service on September 5, 1958 at 29 Palms, California. He returned to Minto and continued to farm the family homestead. Clarence married Jeanette Wesolowski on May 5, 1973 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Grafton. He served on the Minto Elevator Board, Harrison Township Board, and the Farmer's Union Oil Company Board. He retired from farming in 1996 and in 2005 Clarence and Jeanette moved to Grand Forks and they both enjoyed traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette and 4 daughters, Christine (Ricky) Aberle, Minot, ND, Cheryl (Patrick) Wasylow, Grand Forks, ND, Julie (Travis Hoffart) Amanullah, Portland, ND, and Janel (Jay) Mercil, Detroit Lakes, MN; and 15 grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, Marvin French, Grafton, ND; a sister-in-law, Peggy Curran, Thief River Falls, MN; several nephews and a niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in law and mother-in-law, Dominick and Effie Wesolowski; a brother, Paul Curran; sister-in-law, Geraldine French and a son-in-law, Aman Amanullah. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2020 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: One hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Friday.
Burial: In the spring at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Minto, ND.
Military Honors: Accorded at the time of burial by the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard.
