Claudia J. Brooke, 63, of Grand Forks, ND passed away after a short illness on Friday, May 22, 2020 in Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

Claudia Jean Palm was born on June 19, 1956 in Warren, MN the daughter of Leland and Dorothy (Connett) Palm. She was raised in Warren and graduated from Warren High School. Claudia enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Military Police Corps. She was honorably discharged from military service as a Specialist Four on December 13, 1978. She moved to Grand Forks and attended Cosmetology School. She went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse and a Registered Nurse. Claudia was employed at Altru Hospital for 26 years. Later, she was employed at the Senior Citizen's Center in Grand Forks and the Good Samaritan Center and North Valley Health Center in Warren.

Claudia married Remi D. Brooke on October 19, 1985 in Warren, MN. She enjoyed hunting and fishing and was always able to out hunt or out fish her husband. Also, she loved cooking, sewing, knitting and crocheting and especially baking. Whenever Remi would suggest they go on diets, she would go on a baking frenzy. Claudia and Remi liked thrift shopping and going to auctions. Often, Claudia tried to outbid Remi at auctions.

Claudia always had a positive attitude and was always smiling. She was an extremely strong willed and persuasive person. She could get her husband to do anything she wanted. Claudia was an amazing and caring person. She will be greatly missed by her husband, children, family and all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Remi; her sons, Remi, Jr., Grand Forks, ND and Thommey, Fargo, ND; her brothers, Kenny (Jennifer) Palm, Warren, MN, Doug (Julie) Palm, Anchorage, AK, Duane (Sue) Palm, Colstrip, MT, Lyle (Maria) Palm, Spring Valley, CA, Tim, (Patti) Palm, Santee, CA; grandchildren, Alivianna Jaina Brooke and Astrid Arya Brooke; a brother-in-law, Bill Broekemeier, Fargo, ND; nieces and nephews. Claudia's mother, Dorothy Palm passed away on May 24, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leland and a sister, Cindy (Mrs. Bill) Broekemeier.
