Daniel A. Obregon, also known as, "Lazy D", 79, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 4000 Valley Square-Prairie View in Grand Forks.

Daniel Alego Obregon was born July 17, 1940 in East Grand Forks, MN the son of John and Amalia (Rea) Obregon. He was raised in Grand Forks and attended St. James Academy. Daniel married Scharlene Steffen in 1963. From 1972 until his retirement, Daniel was employed in the fertilizer plant of Conagra Foods in Grand Forks.

He is survived by his wife, Scharlene; his sons, Timothy Obregon, Omaha, NE, Jeffrey (Kim) Obregon and Daniel C. (Tammy Cleem) Obregon, both of Grand Forks, ND; his daughters, Dawn (Joe) Schweitzer, Bloomington, IL, Cynthia (Jeff) Johns, Fairchild AFB, Washington, Jan (Stephen) Zindle, Marlboro, MA and Jill (Cory) Fahnestock, Norwich, OH; brothers, John, Ted, Ed and Nellie; sisters, Lois, Lola, Isabel, Mary and Gloria; 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jesse, Raymond, Richard and Ruben.

Funeral Liturgy: 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2019 in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation: 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home on Tuesday.
Interment: Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
