David M. Dubuque , 42, of Fargo, ND and formerly of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at his residence in Fargo, ND.

David Michael Dubuque was born January 11, 1978 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Arthur and Janet (Hillestad) Dubuque. He was raised on the family farm near Grand Forks. He received Holy Baptism and was Confirmed in the Christian faith at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks. He attended and graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1996. Through high school, David's sport of passion was basketball. In his senior year, his team winning the state championship was always a highlight for him.

Over his adult years, David worked most of his life as an underground cable borer and even travelled the country for his company. He also found a love for cooking and spent time working in different restaurants and kitchens as a chef. David also enjoyed taking time away from work to spend it with family and friends.

Surviving David include his parents, Arthur and Janet Dubuque of Grand Forks, ND; his sister, Sara (James) Willardson of Grand Forks, ND; nephews, Dylan Mack and Jacob Willardson of Grand Forks, ND and Godparents, Larry and Jan Wild of Bismarck, ND.

David was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Clara Dubuque and his maternal grandparents, Erick and Burdella Hillestad, along with some aunts, uncles and a cousin.

Memorial Liturgy: 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2020 in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.

Family Greeting: One hour prior to the liturgy in the funeral home on Monday.
