David B. Koopman, 86, of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Valley Senior Living on Columbia in Grand Forks.

David Brian Koopman was born on May 5, 1939, in Benton, MN and spent most of his life living in Grand Forks.  David married Marilee Vaughan and she preceded him in death on April 9, 2022.

David was an avid outdoorsman.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an excellent taxidermist.  He enjoyed country music and playing the guitar.  Most of all, he will be remembered as having a great sense of humor.  He liked telling jokes and stories and making people laugh.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
