Debra "Deb" L. Jerome, 68, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, August 3, 2024.

Born in Rockford, IL on March 14, 1956, Deb lived in Rockford before moving to Detroit Lakes, MN where she spent a majority of her childhood. Deb moved to Pembina, ND with her family where she completed her junior and senior years of high school, graduating from Pembina High School in 1974. After high school, Deb started her career at Motor Coach Industries, where she worked until 2012, at which time she moved to Grand Forks.

In 1976, Deb met the love of her life, Bill Jerome. The two were married on June 18, 1977, and raised their family in Pembina over the next thirty-five years. Most important to Deb was spending time with her children, son-in-law, Mat, and grandson, Carter. She found much joy cheering on Carter throughout his school activities, ranging from little league soccer to a state football championship, and overall watching him grow into a fine young man. In addition, Deb loved spending time with her husband on the golf course and last-minute road trips.

Deb leaves behind her loving husband, Bill; son, Justin, of Watervliet, MI; daughter, Jennifer (Mat) Miller of Stewartville, MN; and her loving grandson, Carter; siblings Danny (Deb) and David Stanhope of Pembina; and two very special aunts who loved her like a daughter, Elaine Gullick and Dorothy Soyring.

Deb was preceded in death by her mother, LaVerne Stanhope; her mother-in-law and father-in law, Leonard and Rosalyn Jerome; maternal and paternal grandparents.

The family asks that any donations be sent to Hospice of the Red River Valley, who provided incredible comfort and care for Deb, Bill, Justin and Jennifer.
