Dennis Kadlec, 69, of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at his home in Grand Forks.

Dennis was born on January 20, 1955, in Grand Forks, ND, to Robert and Lillian (Sobolik) Kadlec. He attended St. Michael's grade school and Valley Middle School. He graduated from Central High school in 1973. He started working for George Bowman at North American Pump and selling parts out of his garage. In 1984, he started H2O and in 1992, built H2O, Inc, where it's now located at 3900 N. Washington St. in Grand Forks. He and his sister, Mary, worked together until her passing. His son, Chris, is now running H20.

Dennis married Debbie Suedel on December 29, 1977, in Grand Forks. To that union Paul, Chris, Ricky, Jerry and Katie were born.

Dennis married Marian Dornheim on September 29, 2001. Dennis loved riding his Harley. He and Marian spent a lot of time riding. They went to Sturgis twice, through Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota. After Dennis quit riding motorcycle, he and Marian enjoyed cruising on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. This took them to many beautiful places including Europe, China, Japan, Alaska, South America and many islands in the Caribbean.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Marian, Grand Forks, ND, his brothers, Danny and Robbie, Grand Forks, ND, his sister, Michelle, Grand Forks, ND, his stepdaughter, Pam Shawstad, Temple, TX, his stepson, Tim Dornheim, five step grandchildren, and five step great-grandchildren.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Mike, Stan and Ricky, and his sister, Mary and daughter, Katie.

Memorial Service: 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2024 in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.
Family Greeting: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home on Tuesday.
Interment: At a later date.
