Dennis A. Wilson , 77, of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Dennis Arlen Wilson was born on August 31, 1943 in Thief River Falls, MN the son of Warren "Mike" and Rosalie (Hruby) Wilson. He grew up in the rural Thief River Falls, MN and Goodridge, MN areas. He attended school two miles from home in a small one room schoolhouse in District 4. In the spring, he rode a horse to school and in the winter months, he skied. Starting in seventh grade, he traveled to Thief River Falls by bus.

In 1966, Dennis married Holly Knutson in Thief River Falls. They lived and worked in Crookston, MN and Grand Forks, ND. Together, they had two children, Troy and Kimberly.  In 1983, Dennis met Susan Hanson of Grand Forks. They were united in marriage January 18, 1986. They resided just outside of Grand Forks in Merrifield.

Dennis owned his own Landscaping business, Wilson Landscaping, and took pride in caring for the Grand Forks area for over 40 years. His equipment always looked shiny and new. He attained fulfillment and satisfaction from his equipment, his work, and helping others. During harvest, he was happy to help other friends and farmers in their beet fields. He loved Allis-Chalmers tractors. For him, orange was the only way to go and the only tractor to have.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Susan; his son, Troy (Sheila) Wilson, Thompson, ND; his daughter, Kimberly (Brett) Garner, West Fargo, ND; his mother, Rosalie Wilson, a brother, David (Karen) Wilson, Goodridge, MN; and  grandchildren, Cody (Heather) Wilson, Alvarado, MN; Andy (Maddie Lazur), Wilson, Reynolds, ND; Makayla Ferguson, Fargo, ND; Zach Ferguson, Fargo, ND; Brady Wilson, Spicer, MN; Emma Wilson, Thompson, ND; great-grandchildren, Weston Wilson and Gryta Wilson, step-grandson, Jimmy Ferguson, Thompson, ND;  close cousins; Jon (Mary) Wilson, Bernie (Marilyn) Wilson, a brother-in-law, Lynn (Marilyn) Hanson, and many close friends and neighbors.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father Warren Wilson and his grandparents.

Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2021 in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.
Family Greeting: One hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Sunday.
