Donald N. Masse , 84, of Maddock, ND and formerly of Grand Forks, ND passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at St. Alexius Health in Devils Lake, ND.

Donald Norman Masse was born on May 22, 1940, in Grand Forks, ND the son of Alderic and Valerie (Jeffrey) Masse. He was raised in Grand Forks and attended St. Mary's Catholic School. He graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1958 and went on to briefly attend the University of North Dakota.

Donald proudly served his country after being drafted into the United States Army on August 6, 1963. He was honorably discharged from active military service on July 19, 1965, with the rank of Specialist Four Class. After his service, he went back to work at Fillmore-Cooper Photography Studio in Grand Forks, where he was employed for over 30 years.  Donald had a quiet sense of humor and quirky personality that made him well-loved by his family and friends

He is survived by his brother, Gene (Nancy) Masse of Bismarck, ND]; his nephew, Michael (Dianne) Masse of Georgia; his niece, Chelly (Steve) Ontis of Bismarck, ND; a great-niece, and a great nephew, Austin Bosch of Colorado, and Aunika Bosch, of Fargo, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Valerie and Alderic Masse.

Funeral Liturgy: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025, in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation: One hour prior to the liturgy in the funeral home on Saturday.
Burial : 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2025, in the Fargo National Cemetery, Harwood, ND.
Military Honors: Accorded at the time of burial, by members of the Fargo Memorial Honor Guard and the North Dakota Army National Guard.
