Donna Louise Sherwood, age 65 of Grand Forks, died on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at her home.

Donna L. Sherwood, a daughter of Pete and Violet (Miller) Hockhalter, was born on June 3, 1959 at Glasgow, MT. She was reared and educated in Glasgow. She attended Glasgow High School. Donna began working at Johnny's Café in Glasgow, MT. She attended Eastern Montana College in Billings, MT for a time. Donna married Mike Sherwood and they moved to Florida where she gave birth to her first son, Michael. This marriage later ended. Later she met Mark Alexander, and she had her second son, Robert. In 1999 Donna with her two sons moved to Grand Forks, ND to be with her sister Gloria. She worked at Village Inn, Perkins and IHOP before retiring due to health reasons. Donna has continued to make Grand Forks her home.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, working, Sudoku puzzles, and playing Candy Crush on her phone. Donna devoted her life supporting her children and only grandchild.

She is survived by her sons, Michael R. Sherwood and Robert S. Alexander both of Grand Forks; Granddaughter, Amelia Morehart; Sisters, Evon Norcutt and Evelyn Howell; a brother, Larry (Hawk) Hockhalter; a niece, Shelly Howell and her former husband Mike Sherwood.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Gloria Labonte.
