Duane A. Rostberg , 79, Grand Forks, ND passed away on January 7, 2026 in his home under Hospice care.

Duane Allen Rostberg was born on November 16, 1946 the son of Orrin and Ruth (Williams) Rostberg in Northwood, ND. He was raised in Larimore, ND and attended Larimore schools, graduating from Larimore High School in 1964. Duane then attended Wahpeton School of Science, Wahpeton, ND graduating as a electrician. He then served in the US Army Signal Corps in Vietnam. Returning home and Honorably Discharged from the Army, in 1972, Duane started worked for Minnkota Power Cooperative retiring from there in 2006. His passion was restoring vintage cars and pick-ups. Duane was one of the early members of the Prime Steel Car Club of Grand Forks.

Duane is survived by his wife, Diane "Dee"; stepsons, Greg Scholer and Chad (Katie) Violet; grandchildren, Ellie, Sidney and Liam Violet; a sister, Rita (Jeff) Greenwalt and a brother, Dale (Caroline) Rostberg; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepson, Wesley Scholer.

Visitation : 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. "Sharing of Memories" service, Wednesday, January 14, 2026 in the Historic Norman Funeral Chapel chapel.
Burial: 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026 in the Fargo Veterans National Cemetery, Harwood, ND
