Edward A . Adams Sr. , 91, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023, in Sanford Hillsboro Care Center in Hillsboro, ND.

Edward Anthony Adams was born May 15, 1931, in Reynolds, ND the son of Alphonso and Marie (Huard) Adams.  Edward entered the United States Army on May 4, 1954, at Hillsboro, ND.  He was honorably discharged from active military service on February 10, 1956, at Fort Ord, California.  He returned to Reynolds, where he farmed on the family farm with his parents.  Ed met the love of his life, Arlene B. Benson and they were married on May 29, 1956, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in East Grand Forks, MN.  Arlene preceded him in death on February 21, 2015. Ed and Arlene moved off the family farm and raised their family in Grand Forks where he worked at American Crystal Sugar until he started Employment with the City of Grand Forks in sanitation and then the street department.

Edward is survived his daughters, Sheila (Chad) Wildeman, Hillsboro, ND, Penne (Dan) Fieckert, Grand Forks, ND; sons, Edward, Jr. (Elke) Adams, Nampa, ID, Jeffery (Lori) Adams, Fertile, MN; a sister-in-law, Shirley (Bob) Jensen, Fosston, MN; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 58 years, Arlene; a daughter, Denise Adams, and his siblings.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2023, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation : 5:00p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday with a 6:45 p.m. Rosary Service and 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service in the Historic Norman Funeral Chapel.  Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Monday.
Burial : In the spring, at Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
Military Honors: Accorded at the time of burial, by members of the American Legion Post 157, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3817 and the North Dakota Army National Guard.
