Elaine K. Maszk, 82, of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

Elaine Kathleen Hudacko was born on June 22, 1944, in Oslo, MN, the daughter of Michael and Rose (Ebertowski) Hudacko.  She was raised in Warsaw, ND and graduated from Oslo High School.  Elaine married Harry L. Maszk on May 7, 1963, in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Warsaw. Elaine and Harry moved to Grand Forks and Elaine was employed as a cook with the lunch program at Kelly Elementary School until her retirement.  Most of all, Elaine was a homemaker and caregiver to her family.  Harry preceded her in death on December 25, 2005.  Elaine enjoyed canning, especially pickles, cooking, and baking, playing Bingo and going on vacations with her family to Mexico.  She was a longtime member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks.

In her final years, Elaine lived with and was lovingly cared for by her granddaughter, Morgan and great granddaughters, Leigha and Kinsley, who she often referred to as her little nurses. This special time brought them even closer, shared with silent talks, shared meals, and mutual comfort.

She is survived by a brother, Gerald Hudacko; grandchildren, Morgan Maszk-Michaelson, Josh Michaelson, Mariah Michaelson; Their father, Wayne Michaelson; great-grandchildren, Leigha Barnette, Kinsley Barnette, Brayden Wachowski, and Wesley Wachowski; cousin and best friend, Janice Lien; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry, a son, Tracey, and sister-in-law, Marlene Hudacko.

Funeral Liturgy: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2026, in the Norman Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation: One hour prior to the liturgy in the funeral home on Tuesday.
Interment: Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
