ERIN MAUREEN DIONNE

Erin Maureen Dionne, age 59 of East Grand Forks, MN died on Monday, December 12, 2023 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks after a long battle with liver and kidney failure.

Erin Maureen Dionne, daughter of Thomas and Peggy (Iverson) O'Connell, was born on October 2, 1964 in Bismark, ND. She moved with her family to Washburn where she graduated from Washburn High School.  She then attended Mary College in Bismarck where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy. Erin began working at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck. On September 23, 1989 she married Ken Dionne in Washburn, ND. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Drayton. Erin began working as a Respiratory Therapist at United Hospital, now Altru Hospital. In 1991 they moved to Grand Forks, ND and in 1992 they had their daughter, Haley. In 2000 they moved to East Grand Forks, MN where they have resided since.

She enjoyed scrapbooking, puzzles and board games. Erin especially loved spending time with her family and her dog, Murphy.

She is survived by her husband Ken Dionne of East Grand Forks, MN; a daughter, Haley Dionne of Fargo, ND; her father, Thomas O'Connell of Grand Forks, ND; brothers, Dan (Barb) O'Connell of Williams, MN and Willie (Cassie) O'Connell of Grand Forks, ND; sisters, Barb Martin of Emerado, ND and Patty (Austin) McCracken of Davenport, IA and many nieces and nephews.

Erin is preceded in death by her mother Peggy, and brother-in-law Steve Martin.

A private memorial service will be held.
