Ethan D. Carsen, 17, of Grand Forks, ND passed away, with his parents by his side, on Sunday, June 27, 2021, in Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.  His death was the result of injuries sustained from a car accident.

Ethan David Carsen was born on April 23, 2004, in Grand Forks, ND the son of Shawn and Brandi (Danielson) Carsen.    He was raised in Grand Forks and was a student at Grand Forks Central High School.  He was employed as a pizza maker with Papa John's Pizza in Grand Forks.  Ethan enjoyed spending time with his friends and driving around from morning to night.

He is survived by his parents, Shawn and Brandi Carsen; his older brother, Austin Carsen, his grandparents, Mel and Ida Carsen and Dave and Judy Danielson; an aunt, Shannon (Brian) Grave, cousins, Janessa Grave, Carsen Grave, an aunt, Shelly (Jim) Klennert; cousins, Victoria Klennert, Zackary Klennert an aunt, Sherry Elder; cousins, Hannah Elder and Hallie Elder and his dogs, Remington, Lucy and Toto.

Despite the tragedy and sorrow of Ethan's death, he continues to have a positive and life-giving impact on people's lives. The way he would want it. Through the donation of his organs and tissue, many people will be healed and continue to live and be with those they love.  Ethan's Family wishes to express their deep thanks to the staff of the Intensive Care Unit of Altru Hospital for the wonderful and compassionate care given to Ethan.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the "Ethan Carsen Benefit Fund" that has been set up at Gate City Bank.  Ethan's family will donate these memorials, in Ethan's name, to charity at a later time.

Celebration of Life: 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2021, in Hope Evangelical Covenant Church , 1601 17th Avenue South, Grand Forks, ND 58201
Family Greeting: 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021 with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service in Hope Church. Family greeting will continue for one hour prior to the Celebration of Life in the church on Friday.
