Fern L. Brusegaard , 87, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at her home at Briarwood Apartments in Grand Forks.

Fern Lenora DeLisle was born January 9, 1932 in Hallock, MN the daughter of Eugene and Mae (Bourgeois) DeLisle and was the youngest of 12 siblings.   She attended St. Joseph's Academy in Crookston, MN. She was formerly married to Virgil Isacson and was employed with JC Penney for 20 years. Later, she married Richard Brusegaard. She was a proud manager of Fast and Fresh Laundry in Las Vegas, NV until Richard's passing. Following his death, she returned to Grand Forks.

She is survived by her children, Jaclyn (Mike) Hurly, Joplin, MO and Julie Smith, Grand Forks, ND; 4 grandchildren, Michael (Kim) Hurly, Sean Hurly, Michelle Hurly and Amorette ( Jared Anderson) Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; her siblings, Mayo DeLisle, Beatrice DeLisle, Diana DeMars, Cecil DeLisle, Noe DeLisle, Sidney DeLisle, Vernie DeLisle, Doreen Gray, Lorraine Young, Jean Terch and Francis DeLisle.

Memorial Liturgy : 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2019 in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.
Family Greeting: One hour prior to the liturgy in the funeral home on Sunday.
Interment: Garden of the Evangelists Columbarium, Calvary Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
