Francis A. Feist, 79, of Edina, MN and formerly of Grand Forks, ND passed away Sunday, December 21, 2025, at his home in Edina.

Francis Andrew Feist was born on March 2, 1946, in Grand Forks, ND the son of Andrew and Cecilia (Deraney) Feist.  He grew up in Grand Forks and attended St. Michael's School and graduated from St. James High School in 1964.  He went on to graduate from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Finance and Economics.  During his college years, he and Al Larivee booked bands for dances at Grand Forks, ND, Bemidji, MN, Minto, ND and the surrounding area.

Francis lived in the Minneapolis, MN and St. Paul, MN areas for over 50 years.  He was employed with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management for over 25 years.  He was an avid fan of Fighting Sioux athletics, enjoyed spending time at Mille Lacs Lake in Minnesota and watching westerns, especially Gunsmoke.  Christmas was his favorite holiday.

He leaves behind his son, Joshua Feist; his brother, Dennis Feist; many cousins, friends, and his close friends, Cathy, Pam, Jason, Gabe, and Cathy's beloved dog, Gizmo "Mo".

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: One hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Tuesday.
Burial: In the spring of 2026, in Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
