Frank J. Stropnicky, 86, of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Valley Senior Living on Columbia in Grand Forks.

Frank John Stropnicky was born on December 17, 1935, in Conway, ND, the son of Frank and Angela (Schanilec) Stropnicky.  He was raised and educated in Conway. Frank entered the United States Army on March 28, 1958 and served as a transport driver and mechanic. He was honorably discharged from active military service, with the rank of Sergeant, at Fort Sheridan, Illinois. Frank moved to Grand Forks and was employed with Blue Bird Shoes.  Frank married Jeanette Falos on July 8, 1959, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks.  They resided in Grand Forks and were married for 62 years.  Frank was employed as a transport driver and later as a courtesy car driver with Rydell Chevrolet, until his retirement.  Jeanette preceded him in death on July 22, 2021.

Frank enjoyed watching television, listening to polka music, going to polka festivals, with his wife, Jeanette, attending church and being with family.  He was a longtime and active member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, serving as an Usher and Eucharistic Minister at Sunday Masses.

He is survived by his son, David Stropnicky, Grand Forks, ND; his daughter, Jolene (Gary) Fields, Thompson, ND; a grandson, Connor Fields, Thompson, ND and a sister, Marie (Mrs. Leroy) Austin of California.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jeanette; a brother, Raymond Stropnicky and a sister, Agnes Wencl.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022, in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: One hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Wednesday.
Burial: Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
Military Honors: Accorded by members of the American Legion Post 157, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3817 and the North Dakota Army National Guard.
