Gary S. Edwards , 67, of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, in Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

Gary Steven Edwards was born on December 17, 1956, in Grand Forks, ND, the son of Byron and Gloria (Pearson) Edwards.  He was raised in Grand Forks and graduated from Red River High School.  Following graduation, he managed Liberty Lanes and Uptown Lanes in Grand Forks. Later, he was employed with The Surefoot Corporation in the packaging division and became the General Sales Manager for the corporation.   He completed his working career in independent sales.

Gary was an excellent and gifted golfer.  He enjoyed hunting and especially fishing at Lake of the Woods in Minnesota.  He was often asked for fishing advice from guides and other fishermen in the area.  He was a devoted fan of the University of North Dakota Fighting Souix Hockey and Minnesota Vikings Football.  Growing up, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at Grace Lake in Minnesota and later going on camping trips.  Most of all, Gary loved his family and friends; his black labradors, Jenny and Jake and his yorkie terrier, Yoda.

He is survived by his sisters, Linda (Ken) Reed, Pembina, ND, Kathy (Wayne) Peterson, Littleton, CO, Cindy (David) Edwards-Hoks, Grand Forks, ND, Laurie (Rob Coope) Edwards, Magnolia, DE;  a niece, Andrea Edwards, Cottage Grove, MN; a niece, Kathy Phelps, Pembina, ND; his beloved step-grandson, Vash Swenson, (from his former wife), Cindy Edwards.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Greg Edwards.
