Glendora Elizabeth Sanchez

Glendora Elizabeth Sanchez (Walking West), 52, of Grand Forks ND, passed away on May 20th surrounded by her daughters, after a difficult battle with medical complications.

Glendora was born on April 4th, 1971 to Joseph R. Abeyta Sr. and Betty L. Fox - Murphy in Denver, CO. Although Glendora made a home in North Dakota, Colorado was always her home at heart.

Glendora finished high school from Bear Creek High School in Colorado and then went on to study at The United Tribes Technical College in North Dakota. She began her career in customer relations and continued that profession for over 15 years.

In 1990, Glendora was wed and moved to New Mexico having three daughters Cynthia, Samantha and Pamela Sanchez. After her daughters were born she chose to move back to North Dakota to be with her mother and family.

During Glendora's retirement years she spent most of her time with her adored grandson Jack Langehaug, friends and family. When she wasn't spending time with her family she enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and playing pool.

Glendora is predeceased by her father and her daughter Samantha. She is Survived by her mother, Betty Fox-Murphy; Stepfather, John Murphy; her brother, Joseph Abeyta; her sister Sheila (Elijah) Stahlecker; her 2 daughters Cynthia (Jake) and Pamela Sanchez; her grandson Jack; her Nephew; Julius Brown III, and her nieces Leilah and Aviana Gonzales. L

Glendora was a headstrong woman who was passionate and loved her family very much. She had a generous heart and because of that she took joy in helping others. Her sense of humor was one of a kind and she always found hilarity in most things. Her Smile and her laugh will be deeply missed.

Throughout the years Glendora touched many people and imprinted her legacy on all.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Norman Funeral Home in Grand Forks.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 24, 2023 beginning at 5:00 P.M. and one hour before service time in the Norman Funeral Home in Grand Forks, ND

Burial will be the Calvary North Cemetery also in Grand Forks.
