Gregory S. Slominski, age 65, Born July 1, 1956, passed away on his farm in rural Ardoch, Johnstown Township, July 3, 2021.

Greg had a love for the outdoors where he could work in quiet solitude. He enjoyed attending farm sales and searching for parts to fix the accumulated machinery that had been collected for years. Greg took over farm operations from his father Stan and mother Rose after they began farming here about 1946 and retired in 1988.

Greg worked for a John Deere dealership 25 years attending many classes around the United States. Later he worked for Marvin Windows for 20 years. He had been a member of the Gilby Fire & Rescue and on the  Johnson Township Board. He was born a talented mechanic and loved to work on his farm in his free time. He would help day or night when farmers' machinery broke down at harvest time. He was always on call and did his best to help others in need.

We will miss hearing about Greg's daydreams, such as fishing on cold frozen lakes, hunting for that allusive buck, and cooking and grilling his freshly caught food which was his passion. He had the opportunities to travel to Minnesota, Arizona, Texas, Canada and Roatan.

Greg is survived by his sisters Patricia (Tempe, AZ), Kathy (Celina, TX), Suzan (Grand Rapids, MN), and Denise (Grand Forks, ND) as well as nine nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Per Greg's wishes, there will not be a public service. Burial will be at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Cemetery. Memorials are welcomed to Gilby Fire & Rescue, Gilby, ND or the Warsaw Cemetery, where his family attended church and five generations will be buried there.
