Hope Jerilyn Lembke, age 84 of Grand Forks, ND, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026 in her home.

Hope Jerilyn Lembke, a daughter of Isadore and Frieda (Kelly) Fontaine, was born in Whitman, ND on November 18, 1941. She was raised and educated in the area. Hope was baptized in Middle Grove Lutheran Church near Mekinock, ND. After her education she worked on the family farm. On November 1963 she was married to Dwaine Lembke at Crookston, MN. Following their marriage they moved to Grand Forks. Hope worked for a time cleaning houses. When the children were born, she began doing daycare. In 1997, after the flood, they moved to their new house where she helped with her grandchildren, which she enjoyed. Dwaine passed away on November 3, 2012. Hope has continued to make Grand Forks her home.

She enjoyed visiting with her friends and sisters once a week at a local restaurant. Hope loved reading, cooking, playing bingo, watching classic sitcoms and old western shows.

She is survived by June (Terry) Tucker, East Grand Forks, MN, Jody (Noelle) Lembke, Grand Forks, ND, Jamie Lembke, Devils Lake, ND, Juliann (Kevin) Polson, Apache Junction, AZ, Jenny Lembke and Jill Lembke, both of Grand Forks, ND; and Benjamin Lembke, Grand Forks, ND.; 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; a sister Nancy (Alan) Slominski, Grand Forks, ND, along with several sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved dog, Enzo.

Hope is preceded by her parents, Isadore and Frieda Fontaine; 15 siblings: Florence Olson, Fern Harrison, Douglas Fontaine, Delmore Fontaine, Frances Ackerman, Stanley Fontaine, Hazel Gunderson, Mavis Woodard, Bonnie Roch, Isadore Jr. (Ginger) Fontaine, Stillborn baby brother, Glenn Fontaine, Keith Fontaine, Gloria Fontaine, and Joann.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
