Our sweet boy, Hunter Charles Deziel, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021.

Hunter was born on November 19, 1999, in Grand Forks, ND to Jayson and Tamara (O'Keefe) Deziel. Hunter graduated from Red River High School in 2018 and went on to attend UND for 2 years. Presently, he was loving his employment with Kuglin Construction in Grand Forks.

Hunter was our teddy bear and found joy in so many things! He loved spending time with his family and friends, who fondly nicknamed him Beef. He loved football and played it throughout high school. He enjoyed food and left us with cherished memories of cooking and baking with him. He loved to travel, for sport and adventure. Trapshooting, fishing and hunting with his dad were a big part of his life. He won the ND State championship for trapshooting. He enjoyed years of working and shooting at the Grand Forks Gun Club, where he and his dad won the 'Father and Son shoot' 5 years in a row.

Hunter was loyal to a fault and those he loved, he loved fiercely! His infectious smile lit up the room and our lives. From the time he was born, his "luscious locks" were something to envy, whether worn down or in his famous man bun. He was his mommy's boy, his daddy's buddy, his sister's best friend, his little brother's hero and his granny's angel, taken way too soon.

There's so much more that we could say, these pages would go on for days. But as he rests, we now can too; knowing he will live on through us and you.

Hunter is survived by his parents, Jayson and Tamara Deziel, his sister Hailey Deziel, his brother Cooper Deziel, all of Grand Forks, ND; grandparents, Gary and Kathy Deziel, John and Susan O'Keefe, Les Helgason; his niece, Olivia Lofthus; many aunts, uncles and cousins, many friends and his beloved cat Stillman. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Beverly O'Keefe-Helgason.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2021 at Thrive Community Church, 1720 South Washington Street Grand Forks, ND 58201.
Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday in Thrive Community Church. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the funeral service in the church on Friday.
