James W. Arnold, 62, of Emerado, ND passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 as a result of complications from Colvid-19.

James Warren Arnold was born the son of Kenneth and Alice (Smith) Arnold on June 5, 1958, in Little Rock, Arkansas.  He attended and graduated from Larimore High School before taking classes at UND.  He was employed with Civil Service Food Services since 1980 (circa).

Jim's passion in life was volunteering and helping others.  During the Flood of 1997, he put in endless hours with the Salvation Army. He was twice recognized as "Citizen of the Month" by Community State Bank.  During the holiday season, he was extremely busy with serving at the Grand Forks Mission, "Trim a Tree", delivering food baskets to the needy, "Christmas in the Park", and other humanitarian programs.  It didn't have to be a holiday for Jim to volunteer.

He is survived by a brother, Kenneth (Dixie) Arnold, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death his parents; a sister, Bonita Dvorcek, and brothers, Cecil, and Travis Arnold.

He want to thank his very special friend, Karen, who helped and cared for Jim these past few months.

A Private Funeral Service: Will be held in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial: Emerado Cemetery, Emerado, ND.
