Jean K. Trainer, 74, of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

Jean Kay Foy was born on February 26, 1951, in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Harry and Amy (Olsen) Foy.  She was raised in Grand Forks and graduated from Grand Forks Central High School.

Jean married Robert "Robby" Trainer on March 19, 1976, in Crookston, MN.   Jean and Robby resided in Grand Forks and Jean was employed in the Environmental Services Department of United Hospital and Altru Hospital, until her retirement.

Jean enjoyed playing BINGO and was an avid University of North Dakota hockey fan and Minnesota Vikings football fan.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Robby preceded her in death on October 4, 2006.

She is survived by her children, Tracy (Michael) Haydon, Christina (Jasen Ritt) and Kevin Trainer; a brother, Doug (Diane) Foy; a sister, Beverly Foy; grandchildren, Jeff, Nicole, Kelsey, Chelsea, Callie, Robby and Camryn and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robby, a brother, Larry Foy, a granddaughter, Lindzy and a nephew, Jim Foy.
