Jeanette R. Ekren, 79, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Friday, June 3, 2020 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

Jeanette Regina Mager was born on September 7, 1940, in West Oslo, ND The daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Pokrzwinski) Mager.  She attended St. Michael's Catholic School and graduated from St. James Catholic High School. She went on to graduate from Aaker's Business College. Jeanette married William Ekren in 1959. She married Rodney Kosmatka in 1965. She remarried William Ekren in 2013.  She was employed with Wally Mutual Insurance in Grand Forks until she retired. Also, she owned her own cleaning business known as Mrs. Clean.  She enjoyed sewing, traveling, country western music and a good western movie.

She is survived by Dale (Carla) Kosmatka, Cottage Grove, MN, Kathy (Charlie) Passa, Casa Grande, AZ, Tammy (Greg) Batzer, Grand Forks, ND; 13 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren and a sister, Effie Vick, Grand Forks, ND.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; a son, Billy; her father, Joseph; her mother, Elizabeth; her brothers, Florian, Johnny, Henry, Joseph, Harry, Leonard, Fritz, Clarion and Clarence; her sisters, Helen Maszk, Evelyn Buck, Lorraine Dennis and Irene Pederson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be sent to the family in care of The Historic Norman Funeral Home 2950 South Washington Street Grand Forks, ND 58201.

Funeral Liturgy: 10:00 am Monday, July 13, 2020 in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the liturgy in the funeral home on Monday.
Burial: Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
