Jennie Louise (Dusenberry) Rustebakke of Grand Forks, North Dakota passed away peacefully at Valley Eldercare on March 2, 2020 at the age of 98. Louise was born on September 11, 1921 to Elmer and Edna (Garnett) Dusenberry in Leonard, Missouri. Louise married Allan Rustebakke on February 27, 1943 in Moberly, Missouri. They met when Allan was in the army and stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. They moved to Grand Forks in 1945 where they raised their family. Allan died May 28, 1969. She worked at JCPenney for 24 years, retiring as Office Manager in 1987. Louise was an active member of United Lutheran Church. She was devoted to her family and of strong faith, and her smile and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband Allan, her infant daughter Donna, her parents Elmer and Edna (Garnett) Dusenberry, her sister Lucille Howerton, her brother Donald, and more family and many friends with whom she was very close. She is survived by her children, Gary of Phoenix, AZ, Janice (Henry) Votava of Pittsburgh, PA, and Shirley (Dennis) Nelson of Denver, CO; and 8 grandchildren, Julie (Andy) Schaffer, Jennie (Frank Forts) Votava, Jodie (Edgar) Smith, Danny (Alexis Schollmeyer) Votava, Jamie (Neil) Sheth, Katie (Brian) Moore, Kimmie Nelson, and Matt (Kristina) Nelson; along with 13 great grandchildren (14th due in May), Evan, Harry, Sal, Janie, and Joey Shaffer, Harper and Eleanor Forts, Juliana and Marisol Smith, Jayani and Hailey Sheth, and Brianna and Alaina Moore.

A funeral service will be held at a later date at United Lutheran Church and interment will be at Memorial Park South.
