Jerome "Jerry" H. Bliven, 94, of Moorhead, MN and formerly of Grand Forks, ND and East Grand Forks, MN passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022.

Jerome was born to Joseph and Eva (Deitz) Bliven. Jerome proudly served his country in the United States Navy and after the war he returned to and graduated from St. James High School in Grand Forks. In his later years Jerome worked for the Technical College in East Grand Forks, MN for 11 years and then retired. Jerome served at graveside services with the East Grand Forks VFW Honor Guard for 20 years honoring those who were former military members. He served as an usher at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in East Grand Forks, MN for 10 years. He was the Bingo manager for the VFW in East Grand Forks, MN.

In retirement Jerome and his partner Donna Hallick enjoyed traveling with their 5 ^th wheel travel trailer across the US visiting family and friends. They also liked to check out casinos and compare different ones and rank them.

Jerome is survived by his partner Donna Hallick. His brother William (Mary) and his children and grandchildren he was so proud of. Bonnie Jaehning (Robert Welcher), Gerald (Lori), William (Carol), Michael (Debra), Mark (Marita), Steven (Barbara), and Maureen, 12 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Donna's children and grandchildren, Deb Storbakken (Lee Farmer), Randy Vigen (deceased), Hartvig Vigen (Shannon Schroeder), Mark Vigen (Ann), and Tamie Sandvig. 11 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great, Great Grandchildren.

Jerome was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years Doris (Nagle), his parents Joseph and Eva Bliven, beautiful granddaughter Heather Bliven, sisters Adeline Lemieux, Gladys Bruce, Doris Jeffrey, Shirley LaBrecque, brother Fr. Robert Bliven, brother's in-law Andrew Lemieux, Neil Bruce, Clifford Jeffrey, and Earl LaBrecque.

Funeral Liturgy: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022 in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation: One hour prior to the liturgy in the funeral home on Wednesday.
Burial: Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
Military Honors: Accorded by members of the American Legion Post 157, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3817 and the United States Navy Reserve.
