Juanita A. De La Cruz, 72, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 at her home in Grand Forks.

Juanita Angelina Reyes was born on February 18, 1949 in Greeley, CO the daughter of Jose and Anita (Conuta) Reyes.  Juanita was employed for 11 years in the Housekeeping Department of the University of North Dakota.  In her younger years, she enjoyed dancing.  Later in life, she enjoyed playing Bingo and going to casinos. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.    Juanita married Raul De La Cruz on December 3, 1967.  Raul preceded her in death in July of 2009.  Juanita was always happy and people enjoyed her beautiful smile.

She is survived by her sons, Raul (Elaine) De La Cruz and their children, Gabriel, Gabriella, Daisey, Giovanny and Sebastian "AKA Eyebrows"; Ruben (Elida) De La Cruz, and their children, Ruben Jr. and Sofia Rose; Jose "Joe" Lewis De La Cruz and his children, Javier Lee, Angel Jose, Alicia Flor, Juel Javier and Mila Esthela; Andrew "Andy" De La Cruz; a daughter, Christina De La Cruz Morado and her children, Aaron, Tonia and Adrian; great-granddaughters, Lilah, Penelope, Avery, and Cambrie; her sisters, Carmen Hernandez, Mary Salazar, Manuela Reyes, Elizabeth "Liz" (Archie) Cantu, Susie Rios and Diana Gonzalez and many nieces and nephews who loved her so much.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raul; brothers, Raymond Reyes, Jose Reyes, Cleto Reyes and Richard Reyes.

Memorial Liturgy: 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.

Family Greeting: One hour prior to the liturgy in the funeral home on Saturday.

Interment: At a later date in Calvary Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
