On Sept. 23, 2026, Judy was received into Heaven where Larry took her hand, and welcomed her with a dance to, "Remember When," one of her favorite songs.

Judith Constance Belker, age 79, of Grand Forks, ND, died at home from congestive heart failure caused by COPD and diabetes.

Judy was born on May 13,1947, in Providence, RI, to Constance Anderson. At an early age Judy traveled with Connie, and they made their way to Grand Forks, ND. They joined Wayne Kielty and a few years later her sister, Kathy, was born, making their family of four complete. Judy graduated from GF Central in 1965 and remained active getting together often with "the Reunion Committee Gals" to catch up and work on their next reunion celebration. On May 13, 1967, she married Larry Belker, and together they welcomed sons, Len and Jeffrey. Judy spent many years working for A&J Fertilizer, managing any task asked of her. She was a member of the KC Ladies, as well as a member of the "Wednesday Lunch Bunch." She looked forward to those lunches with the ladies to catch up on what was happening with her friends and their families.

In the winter, after a long work week, Judy loved spending time with family and friends – usually it was a Friday night of dancing, beer, and playing a few pull tabs at Charlie Browns. Judy and her friend, Patty, would throw $20 into a jar and hope for a winner. They would take turns opening just one symbol on each pull tab. If even a tiny portion of a line appeared on the tab the opening stopped and it was placed under a napkin until the other tabs were opened. No one else could make $20 worth of opening tabs into an hours long event – watching them could be so frustrating but also so full of belly laughs!

Come April, Larry and Judy always got a little antsy waiting for lake weather. They could not wait to leave GF to get to the lake and catch up with friends over pizza at Cass Lake, MN. Cass Lake Lodge was their second home-making friends that were more like family. Judy loved relaxing on her porch reading a good book while listening for the loons and watching for a glimpse of a hummingbird that may fly by. She loved a golf card ride around the resort, boating out on the water (with a stop at a Star Island where she could wade in the water), having a glass of scotch, and enjoying family and friends.

Judy is survived by her sons, Len (Trish) Belker, and Jeffrey (Brenda) Belker; Four grandchildren; Jayda (Morgan) Klepzig, Jenna (Cody) Grabow, Alyssa Belker (Jon Radamacher), and Cody Bakken. Step-grandchildren also survive her; Adam, Logan (Kami), Cody, (Lexi Rousseau), Jadon and Noah Mahlum along with four great- grandchildren;
Paisleigh, Bodee, Drew, and Ayla. Judy is also survived by her sister, Kathy Kielty, her brother-in-law, Duane Nelson, as well as nephews, nieces, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Larry, brother-in-law Loren Belker, sister-in-law, Lila Jane Nelson, a niece Cheri Schroeder, and nephew Leif Belker.

A special thank you to Wendy Lunski, Duane Nelson, and Kathy Kielty, as well as neighbors and friends who helped with errands, food, visits, and phone calls to check in with Judy. We would also like to thank the mystery flower angel who so kindly placed a beautiful mum in her outdoor container for us to find after her death. Thank you as well to the fabulous staff at Altru Clinic and Altru Hospital for the care that she and Larry received, especially in the last year.

Larry passed away in July 2026, as they were getting ready to celebrate 60 years of marriage. Again, please mark your calendars for May 13, 2027, and raise a glass to Judy and Larry, as a way of celebrating their years together. Our hearts are happy knowing they will now be celebrating that milestone together.
