Julie Marie Hennessy, 69, of Grand Forks, ND passed away at home in the early morning hours of September 14, 2023, with her husband, Murray at her side.

Julie Panek was born on April 3, 1954, to Larry and Mary Anne (Violette) Panek in Langdon, ND. She grew up and attended school in Grafton, ND. She received a bachelor's degree in education from the College of Saint Benedict in Saint Joseph, Minnesota.

Julie married Murray Hennessy on September 29, 1984, in Saint Paul, Minnesota. They lived in Minneapolis for twenty years before moving to Grand Forks. Julie worked for the Saint Paul Mayor Jim Schiebel, the Saint Paul Companies, Target, and the Points of Light Foundation before starting Hennessy & Associates. She was always involved in volunteerism and philanthropy.

She is survived by her sister Paula, her brothers David and Mark, and her nieces and their families. Julie was preceded in death by her parents.

Julie will be cremated, and a private interment ceremony will be held at a later date at a local cemetery.
