Karen G. Beckett (Phelps ) – Mom, Sister and Friend of Northwood, ND, died peacefully Monday, March 29, 2021 at home with her family by her side.

Karen Phelps, the daughter of George Edward Phelps, Sr. and Cora Elizabeth (McIntyre) Phelps, was born in Grand Forks, ND on September 8, 1940.  She was raised and educated in Grand Forks, graduating from St. James High School before marrying and raising her family in Grand Forks, ND, Denver, CO and Las Vegas, NV over the years.  She returned to Grand Forks later in life living in Grand Forks, Emerado and finally in Northwood.  She passed away peacefully listening to a grand playlist of her favorite classical piano, the greatest of the great tenors and finally Alan Jackson's 'He Lives'.  She has found peace and rest at last after a long road. She will be missed by many family and friends alike.

Karen is survived by her two sons, Carl Wharram, Emerado, ND and Dominic Wharram (Linda), Independence, MN; siblings, Meridy Erlenborn, Wood Hill, CA, Theresa Brown, Indialantic, FL, Marty Lynch (Pat), Eugene, OR, Monty Phelps (Barbara), Bakersfield, CA, Frank Phelps, Grand Forks, ND, and Steven Phelps (Sharon), Grand Forks, ND;  two sisters-in-Law, Rita Phelps, Naples, Fl and Clara Phelps, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Jennifer Wharram, Parker Wharram (Mackenzie), Nicolette Wharram, Abigail Wharram; numerous nieces and nephews;

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Marty Wharram, Max Wharram, Ben Wharram and two brothers, George Phelps, Jr. and Ronald Phelps.
