Kathryn M. Brossart, age 93 of Grand Forks, died on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Valley 4000-Woodside Village in Grand Forks, ND.

Kathryn Marie Brossart, a daughter of Wendelin and Scholastica (Dorscher) Bachmeier, was born on August 9, 1931, at Orrin, ND. At a young age, she moved with her family to Rugby, ND, where she was reared and educated. On June 16, 1952, she married Ignatz "Ned" Brossart at the Little Flower Catholic Church in Rugby. They moved to Devils Lake, ND for a time and later settled in Grand Forks. Kathryn returned to school where she received her GED.  After the completion of her education, she attended a vocational school, where she received her CNA certificate on October 22, 1975. Kathryn worked as a CNA for many years at Valley Memorial Homes in Grand Forks. Ned passed on September 20, 2016. She has continued to make Grand Forks her home.

She was a member of the Tops Club and an avid walker, walking an average of 3 miles a day at the age of 83. Kathryn enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved going to the lake.

She is survived by a daughter, Cyndi (Dave) Gudmunson of Concrete, WA; a son, Vern (Sherri) Brossart of Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Jamie (Joe) Bartuska, Matt Wald, Corie Wald, Tim Wald Jr., Kimberly (Matthew) Verke and Shelby (Alex) Schultz; great-grandchildren, Esma and Rosie Bartuska, Serenity and Presley Wald, Mason and MacKinnon Verke, Laina and Weston Schultz; sisters, Agnes Ray and Johanna Acker.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ned; sisters, Eva Locken and Margaret Reed; brothers, Conrad Bachmeier and Martin Bachmeier.
