Kelly Jean McGrath, 56, of Grand Forks, ND departed this life on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

Kelly Jean was born on February 9, 1969, to Bonnie Jean Wilson at Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison, IN. She attended Madison Consolidated Schools in Madison and went on to working at a young age. She was a very hard worker and always worked hard for everything. Kelly was a jack of all trades.   She loved to make things beautiful. She worked for Disney for a while as well. She had a full life full of love and was a wonderful mother.

Kelly met the love of her life in August of 2006 and has been with him ever since. She married him finally on September 12,2019 after many years.  Kelly was a huge cat lover.

Left behind to love and cherish her memories are her husband, Michael McGrath, her daughter, Shelby O'Brien and Randy Chapman, her five grandchildren, Jaxon, Sandra, Caera Krueger, Jacob and Vanessa Chapman, and Janet Kuhl.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Jean Wilson; her grandmother, Mildred Mae Short; grandfather, James Short; her aunts, Ruth Carrol, Dorthy Payne, and many other family members.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 9, 2026, in The Norman Funeral Home Chapel.
Family Greeting: One hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Monday.
