KENNETH JOHN NELSON

Kenneth J. Nelson , age 70 of Grand Forks, died on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Valley Eldercare on Columbia in Grand Forks, ND.

Kenneth J Nelson, a son of Ralph and Mary Jane (Jensen) Nelson, was born on January 18, 1955 in Grand Forks, ND. Kenny was reared and educated in East Grand Forks attending Sacred Heart Catholic School. After his education he worked various jobs in the area. Kenny married the love of his life, Penny Babinski, they lived in Grand Forks until her death from cancer. He began working at the Grand Forks Correctional Center. Kenny married Deb Robinson, and they were together until her passing. While at the correctional center he held the titles of Supervisor, Sergeant, Lieutenant and Law Enforcement Trainer. Kenny retired due to health reasons.

He is survived by his brother Dennis (Pam) Nelson; a sister, Adele "Bunny" Carroll.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Butch; his wife Penny and their son, Joshua, and his wife, Deb.

There will be no services in accordance with Kenny's wishes.
