Kim Edward Plank, mechanical engineer and US Army officer, died April 8, 2024 in Mayville, ND, at the age of 77.

Kim was born in Ann Arbor, MI on April 21, 1947. He graduated from Michigan Technology University in 1971 with a degree in engineering. Following his education, he entered the US Army and served in Germany. He was married to Marsha Hamilton and Raquel Garcia.

Kim was a trained gunsmith and general contractor. He played the banjo.  He was a Cub Scout leader for years. He was a problem solver who often took on difficult projects.

Kim is survived by his sister, Beverly Plank Ferguson and niece Stacey L. Ferguson.  He is predeceased by his parents, Kenneth R. Plank and Edna Renfroe Plank and grandparents.

There will be no services.

Burial will be at the Veterans National Cemetery in Fargo, ND at a later date.
