Larry L. Kennedy, age 81, of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Altru Hospital surrounded by his family.

Larry L. Kennedy was born on June 28, 1940, in Crookston, MN the son of Ronald and Stella (Huot) Kennedy.  He attended grade school near Wylie, MN, Lafayette School, Red Lake Falls, MN and graduated from the Northwest School of Agriculture in Crookston, MN.  Larry was united in marriage to Connie Zutz on July 15, 1960.  Larry began his career with Northland Chemical which later became Simplot Soil Builders.  His career with Simplot spanned over 40 years and he retired in 2004 from his position as Regional Manager.

Larry and Connie were blessed with three sons, Randy, Steve, and Jim.  They raised their boys and made their home in Grafton, North Dakota before moving to Grand Forks in 1983.  Larry liked fishing, traveling, woodworking, playing Smear, and enjoying a cocktail.  His greatest joy was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.  He regularly attended their sporting events and was very proud of all of them.  Larry was an active member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks serving as an usher.

Larry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Connie, Grand Forks; ND; children: Randy Kennedy, Grafton, ND; Steve (Cathy) Kennedy, Grand Forks, ND; and Jim (Erin) Kennedy, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren: John (Sabrina) Olsen, Fargo, ND; Ashley (Pat) Wavrin, Puposky, MN; Amber (Chad) Basting, Grand Forks, ND; Jacob (Kelsey Weymier) Kennedy, Grand Forks, ND; Ryan (Miranda) Kennedy, Grand Forks, ND; Kari (Jared) Schwanz, Grand Forks, ND; Allison (Cameron) Littlejohn, Grand Forks, ND; and Michael Kennedy, Grand Forks, ND; great-grandchildren: Owen, Logan, Jaxon, Leo, Ruby, Molly, William, Anisten, Olivia, Henry, Lacey, Karter, Kyler, Tucker, Grayson, and Liberty; siblings: Daryl (Eva), Franksville, WI; Joanne (Gordy) Koralewski, Avon, MN; Wayne (Ronda), Burlington, WI; Ron (Jan), Red Lake Falls, MN; Lyle (Rita), Warroad, MN; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Larry is also survived by his special aunt, Mary Lou Tucker, Grand Forks, ND.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Stella; a sister and brother-in-law, Doris (John) Theroux, and great-grandson, Benjamin.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2022, in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.

Visitation: One hour prior to the liturgy in the Church on Monday.

Interment: At a later date, in The Garden of the Evangelists Columbarium, Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
